Out of 10 motorcycles accidents, 4 are due to not wearing of helmets, going by that estimate approximately 15000 lives annually can be saved if riders wear good helmets.

36000 motor cycle crashes deaths  and 93,400 severe injuries have happened and all of these riders were without helmets.

These numbers were simply shocking, who ever wants to die like this ? Every morning when me and my husband leave for office we make sure both of us take our helmets and wear them. We also make sure that our kid who is 5 also wears a helmet if he on the bike with us.

With this in mind we wanted to take this concept to more people !
 So Lions Club of Jogeshwari & Juhu Police carried out a silent bike rally for Road Safety Awareness, Wear Helmets - Drive Safely' campaign. This rally was conducted on 15th August 2018 9am onwards covering Juhu area with 15 bikers. 



Lions Club of Jogeshwari is an NGO which is dedicated towards welfare of the society. The club has been conducting several medical camps, beach cleanup, educational, road safety, hunger and many more camps from the last 40 years.
This year the strength of the club has reached to 135 members which means we are to see a lot of projects by them.
