Mumbaikars in Monsoon !!

If you have lived in Mumbai, survived through its rains, it's traffic and its jam packed trains/buses you can simply do anything in this world.
Believe me anything in the world !!

The next time you take an interview surely ask this question & put the candidate in a situation to answer "What will you do if you are stuck in traffic for 3 hrs to cover a distance of 4 kms ?” Based on his/er answer you will get to know his/er patience level, ability to work in a team, time management and zest to start again after a break down.

One really needs have super powers to bear this craziness of this city.

Be very cautious when you travel between 9.00 am to 11.00 am/ 6.00pm to 9.00pm specially from June to September. Suggest carry a patience pill which will help you fight against your anger, boredom, anxiety, joy and other emotions which shall start flowing with the heavy rains.

You can get all the adventures here from bumpy to splashy road rides. Be ready for a BEST bus to come as close to you that you may even miss a heart beat. If you dare to get bad with the man, he may even rip off your car bonnet and not even move from his bus seat.

On traffic rules, “We follow no rules” on a rainy day. People honking like no one's business. Auto wala’s crossing lanes then giggling away & bikers showing their super stunts.

Uber mini and Uber share rates go so high that you dare not move your finger to its GO & Prime. Nothing less than INR 500 to cover 5kms. “Ata tumchakade fakt auto cha option aste” and believe me these guys go in some different state of mind when it starts pouring heavily. Salute to their “High rated Attitude that sometimes I feel are they really doing a favour on me. Agar mujhme thoda sa aa jai I can surely become a VP in my company.

My auto wala uncle who drove me home on a rainy day :)

The time one may take to reach Mumbai from another city via a flight or even drive down from Pune to Mumbai by road takes we Mumbaikars to cover a stretch of 4kms

The plight of the locals is simply awesome. Wet hair, wet clothes, wet bags and still we cling to each other kyuki we are “ Bao for each other” Brother I mean !!

Uber/Ola  : Why dont you start boat rides ??

But in between all this chaos and my life in this crazy city I still enjoy every moment of it beacuse we Mumbaikars are born with the spirit to fight, the traffic here has taught us to be patient. The pot holes has thought us to ignore the failures of BMC, Catching a local on time has taught us time management and sharing the 4th seat in a local has taught us sharing.

In times of trouble we have shared our cars, our tiffins and even houses for shelter.
